MSNBC article The White House has a new IT department.
The White House is making a change to its IT department to bring in the best and brightest IT minds from across the country.
The Trump administration is announcing the hiring of former federal employee Kevin Gildner as the new head of the White Houses IT department, the White Palace said.
Gildner, who served as an IT specialist in the George W. Bush administration, will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the administration’s IT strategy and strategic direction, the administration said in a statement.
The IT department will be staffed by senior IT professionals who are passionate about helping the President, Vice President, Cabinet members, and others in government achieve their goals.
The hiring comes amid reports of widespread computer problems across the administration.
Some officials have said they believe that the problem is with President Donald Trump’s IT staff.
