Google is getting new hires in its Bass Boat business as the search giant looks to cut costs and increase profitability.
The company announced the hire on Monday, bringing on two new executives to work on the search engine giant’s hardware business.
Google is a major supplier to a growing number of electric boats and motorboats, including electric motorboats and electric boat motors, the company said in a blog post.
The search giant said it is hiring two new employees to help run its hardware business and to help design and build new products.
Bass Boats, the search company’s biggest boat brand, was founded in 1877.
Its current fleet consists of more than 600 boats, including some from foreign brands.
The company has more than 40 boats in the United States and Canada.
Battleship, a subsidiary of Google that manufactures electric motor boats, was established in 2015.
The boat company has about 20 boats in its fleet.
The Bass Boasts new hires are joining the company’s engineering team, the blog post said.
